Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone is doing well, whether you celebrate this holiday or not. As usual, I opted not to go home for Thanksgiving - I'll see my family soon enough during winter break. So instead in about an hour I'm headed to K's for a ragtag CS graduate student dinner! I baked a pumpkin pie this morning and poured some cranberry sauce out of a can, and I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else has made.
The semester thus far has been a bit of a rollercoaster, emotionally and professionally, but putting aside my struggles with algorithms and research and my own identity, I have a lot to be thankful for every day.
I'm thankful for the education I've had that has allowed me to seek out a career path that motivates me.
I'm thankful for my family, who provided me with those opportunities and has never stopped supporting my choices.
I'm thankful for my friends, who challenge me intellectually and ideologically on a regular basis and inspire me to strive to be the best person I can be.
Happy Thanksgiving!
